Draycott’s Fitness Push

 

The residents of Draycott in Derbyshire can now enjoy exercising outdoors for FREE.  Draycott’s Parish Clerk Mrs Val Lewis secured a grant from Awards for All that funded 5 pieces of Outdoor Fitness Equipment. An additional piece has been provided by the Millennium Green Trust.

The facility was officially opened by Mr Mike Tudbury Chairman of the Parish Council. Erewash BC staff provided demonstrations on how to use the equipment and little encouragement was needed from those gathered to ‘have a go’.

Afterwards everyone was invited back to Pumpkinz Coffee House for a hot drink and a cake. It would be worth doing a 30 minutes work out at Draycott’s playing field to justify one of Pumpkinz’s cakes!

Val Lewis commented ‘Draycott Parish Council have used the services of Streetscape for a number of years and find that they provide a professional, relaible and frienldy service.’

Fitness for Coalville

A Town Park in Coalville is yet another site to benefit from Streetscape Outdoor Fitness Equipment.

The Town Park is a well used and equipped facility boasting a toddler and junior play area, skate park and a MUGA.
The Council wanted to enhance the appeal of the park even more by adding an Outdoor Fitness facility.

The outstanding features offered were 10 differing activities for 10 users. This provided something for everyone and a challenge for all abilities from the difficult Multi Traction to the slightly more gentle Combi Bike & Stepper.

The community now have a chance to add a little different activity to their lunch time stroll or fine tune their bodies as part of a much more rigorous work out. No more excuses exist in Coalville for not keeping in shape with this free to use open air facility!

Another Outdoor Fitness Site Installed

Residents of a small parish in the district of Selby can now enjoy full use of the Outdoor Fitness Equipment installed in a local park. All items can be used by anyone over the age of 14 and free of charge.

So if you live in the area, why not head down and have a go!
